Polyimide Film
Polyimide (PI) refers to the polymer with molecular structure contains imide structure of the polymer, which is a large family, mostly with aromatic and heterocyclic ring as the main structural unit. PI has the highest flame resistance (UL-94) , great electrical insulation properties, great mechanic properties, great chemical resistance, long aging shelf life, low dielectric losses, and these properties do not change significantly over a wide temperature range (-269°C to 400°C).
Polyimide is known as "one of the most promising engineering plastics in the twenty-first century," the "problem-solver," and commented as "without polyimide would not have today's microelectronics technology". Its performance is at the top of the pyramid of polymer materials.
